Smiling Faces, Beautiful Places Essay Competition

This spring, Congressman Joe Wilson is holding an elementary essay competition and invites all students in the Second Congressional District to submit entries.

How To Enter

To enter, you must be a current elementary school student from the Second Congressional District of South Carolina.  Each essay may be no longer than 300 words and should address your favorite part of South Carolina history.

Essays must be submitted to Annie Richardson by May 13, 2016.  Please scan and e-mail submissions to annie.richardson@mail.house.gov.  

Winners

Congressman Wilson will select two winners - one from a public or charter school and the other from a private or home-school.  Each winner will receive a visit from Congressman Wilson to their school, a one-minute speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, and a congressional certificate.
