Car Rider Procedures & Half Day Dismissal

Friday, September 2 will be a half-day of school due to reports of possible inclement weather.  In order to be proactive (Habit 1), we are including a link to our car rider procedures below.  Car rider dismissal on half-days can be especially hectic!  In order to ensure the safety of everyone on our campus, we need everyone to use their LIFESKILLS of common sense, caring, and cooperation.

There are four (4) procedures that are especially helpful during car rider dismissal:

1.  Please make sure your child's name is prominently displayed on a sign in your windshield.  The sign should be hanging in the windshield or propped up so it can be seen easily.

2.  Please pull up as far as possible.  As you pass the school's entrance tower where the crosswalk is located, the driveway sweeps around to the left.  Continue around the curve and you will see a sign that says "Pull up to this point."  We want as many cars off of Rimer Pond Road as possible.  This also allows us to load many cars at once.

3.  We love our students and we know you love your children, too!  Slowing down to wave at students who are waiting to be loaded into cars will slow down the process.  In order to expedite the process as much as possible, please pay attention to the traffic and pull forward as far as possible.  The sooner we load your children safely, the sooner you can hear about all the fun things that happened at school!

4.  When you enter our campus, please refrain from using your cell phone while driving...especially in the car rider line.  In order to keep our students 100% safe, we need all drivers to be focused on what they are doing.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation with all of our procedures!
