Parent Writing Spotlight

In preparation for our second site visit for the Palmetto's Finest Award, Round Top will be spotlighting parent writing on one of the hallway displays. We invite parents to stop by the Media Center and share your thoughts on "What sets Round Top apart from other schools?" The PTO has a writing station set up in the Media Center. For inspiration, here is a sample submitted by a parent:

Our Volunteers! Volunteers at RTE put in tireless efforts in organizing and helping with many programs at our school - over 4,000 hours per school year! The generosity of their time and talent is evident throughout our school.  Their dedication to improving the educational and school experience for all students, faculty, and staff is seen every day! Our volunteers are passionate about creating an environment that enables successful, positive experiences for all.

Our volunteers are Box Tops counters, Spirit Night planners, tutors, Field & Art Day station leaders, duty-free supervisors, guest readers, celebration organizers, photographers, snack makers, decorators, fund-raisers, book fair cashiers… With all Round Top offers, our volunteers can contribute any time of day, on or off-campus. When you are at RTE you will always spot a parent or community volunteer!

As you walk the halls at Round Top Elementary, you will see many things that make RTE an exceptional school where all students succeed.  Our volunteers are one of the cornerstones.  It takes a village to raise a child, and at RTE our volunteers are part of that village.

Proud RTE Volunteer,
Cathy Lacey
