Process
There will be a
Choice Fair (including Magnet Programs)
at Westwood High
School on December 2nd from 6:30-8:00pm. Visit the INC. table!

INC. Orientation
immediately following Kelly Mill Orientation
beginning at 6:30pm,
January 22, 2015. Meet the teachers and learn more about INC.!
Plan
a tour of the INC. program with your prospective INC. student!
- Tours are
available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00am-10:00am
beginning Oct. 30th, 2014.
- Please call or
email Mrs. Bruney to schedule a tour. Tours typically last between 30 and
45 minutes.
- On your
scheduled day, please meet Mrs. Bruney at the main office.

What is INC.?
INC. offers a unique middle school
experience, engaging students with broader and deeper depth of content, fast
pacing, and an embedded global business and economics strand. INC. students
pursue an education designed to equip them with the skills necessary for
leadership and success in their chosen career field, focusing on the 21st
Century Skills, basic knowledge of economics, and sound reasoning skills.
Application Information:
- Applications: Must be
completed online at the District Website beginning on January 6, 2015.
Application deadline is 5:00pm on January 30, 2015.
- Interviews: Student
interviews will take place on February 7, 2015 at Spring Valley High
School. The make-up day will be on February 12 at Kelly Mill Middle
School. Applicants will be informed of the time of their interviews via
the US Mail from the INC. office or email, after applications have been
completed online and processed.
- Selection/Evaluation Process: Students will
be evaluated according to the following criteria: interview score, writing
sample, grades, test scores, and teacher recommendation. Students must
have scores of Exemplary on the English, Writing, and/or Math portions of
the PASS test or have equivalent scores on the MAP test.
What do parents need to do?
- Complete an
online application on the District Website: www.richland2.org
- You will be
notified after January of your student’s interview time.
- Bring your
student to the scheduled interview.
- Notification of Acceptance: online March 18-24, 2014.
