What is AVID?
AVID stands for "Advancement Via Individual Determination." AVID Elementary is a support curriculum that is being taught to 3rd, 4th and 5th grade RTE students.
What is AVID & a Hot Dog?
AVID and a Hot Dog is a student led event, where our S.T.A.R.s (Student Teachers of AVID Routines) will teach the parents the AVID strategies they have been learning in their classes all year.
When is the program?
Tuesday, March 28th from 6-7 PM.
Who is invited to attend?
Families of all grade levels!
Why should I attend?This event gives families a "sneak peek" into the increased expectations from one grade level to the next, specific to: Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading. Come learn more about the "student success skills" being taught to prepare students for the next grade - and beyond!
