It's a Baby...Gorilla!
Did you know Macy, a Western Lowlands gorilla at Riverbanks Zoo, is expecting the zoo's first ever goriilla baby? Nichole Timmerman (K) and Cathy Williams (2) collaborated with each other plus the media specialist, Cindy Symonds, and techology learning coordinator, Jennifer McMackin, to become gorilla experts! Students worked together to create graphic organizers for their information, wrote letters to the zoo, wrote scripts for an informational video about gorillas, and filmed in front of a green screen.
