End of Summer Countdown - Stay Connected!

Summer has flown by - it's already August! Thus begins the official 'countdown' to the end of summer...and our first day of school! Throughout the summer, the RTE Control Tower (our administrative team and front office staff) continue to work diligently each day to prepare for the arrival of our teachers on August 10th, and our students on August 18th. Here are some resources you can access for all future school communication:

• School Calendar for important dates & events. You can click & copy events to your calendar!
• @RTEFlightStatus on Twitter to see 'what's happening' around campus and in Richland 2
• Follow Mrs. Clarissa Bennett (Principal), Mr. Brandon Schirmer (PreK-2nd Assistant Principal), and Mr. Harold Johnson (3rd-5th Assistant Principal)  on Twitter to learn more about your Assistant Principals.
• Flight Status Blog for announcements and updates. Sign up for the Blog for weekly email updates about school  happenings. (see below)

Remember, the best way to prepare for a successful school year is to Be Proactive - bookmark and check these resources daily to view regular updates from RTE.

7/22 Virtual Author Visit-Kwame Alexander

Kwame Alexander is the very talented author of the Newberry Award winning middle grade book, Crossover (New TV series based upon the book on Disney+) and many other children's books.  If you would like your student to take part in this free event, please email RTE school library media specialist, Mrs. Symonds @ csymonds@richland2.org, for a Zoom code by 5pm on 7/22.
