Round Top students in grades K-3 enjoyed an author visit with David Biedrzycki. He was very engaging and energetic. We learned about Perseverance in authorship! Mr. Biedrzycki was an advertising artist and worked as an illustrator with Jerry Pallotta before becoming both an author/illustrator. Look closely at the Mott's apples on their apple juice containers...those are his drawings! He has illustrated some 30 books for children, 15 as a solo author/illustrator. His latest, SumoKitty, is due out in November and has been chosen by Junior Library Guild as a preferred title. Thirty students in grades 2-3 were chosen to have lunch with him today and participate in brainstorming for his next big idea, Disco Gorilla!
